Hi guys....I have been trying to get my dlo trigger pack to function in my ptr 32 rifle....I am using a variety of mags and white box Russian fmj ammo.....my gun loves this in semi with my ptr semi trigger group
I can not get this to function in full auto.... I am getting very lite primer strikes sometimes....do I need a stronger hammer spring....where do I get any needed parts?
Should I send this to a class 3 gunsmith and let them get this working.....I am a little bummed.....30 grand and a single shot in semi or full auto selection....any help appreciated.....

Sounds like you bought a lemon. Tell you what. Since I'm such a nice guy, I'll buy it back from you for $15K so you can cut your losses. Sound good?

Just kidding....just kidding. I had a similar problem. Try swapping this out, and I think you'll be good to go. If not, try different ammo. Congrats on your acquisition!!!!!

First congrats on the DLO and welcome to the DLO club.....It could be several things you could be getting bolt bounce with the light primer strikes, solved by a full auto carrier w/tungsten. Is this the Gen 2? I had a Gen 1.5 that I tried everything short of sending to a smith it shot perfect in Semi I ended up selling to member who was not interested in F/A. They seem to be hit and miss some guys have zero issues but seems to be more issues than not and PTR is not much help.l It could be something as simple as Brad above suggested (the power hammer spring) Ammo is not going to affect what your describing. There are several threads regarding this exact scenario use the search function to help you find them. If you are going to send to smith I would suggest GhillieBear one of the best at diagnosing these issues...Good luck let us know.

Try a # 15 locking piece, that fixed my PTR-32

Out of curiosity, what did Jeff do to fix yours?

It's been a while and I don't recall exactly what he said. I know it involved changing out some of the springs.

Check your bolt head locking lever spring as well. The factory PTR spring often has a coil cut off which causes it to be too weak. The bolt and carrier come apart slightly which causes the firing pin to light strike due to the increased distance.

Congrats on your DLO. I'm one of the guys whose PTR (32K) runs perfectly FA but I never tried the factory locking piece. Others reported needing #15 LP which I had in the tool box. Mine had the semi carrier so I purchased a used G3 FA carrier. I later picked up a new PTR FA carrier that also runs 100%.

Follow the advice above & try the #15 then if it still malfunctions change that small locking lever spring.
