So I want to achieve the green furniture look with a Zenith Z-5RS I have.

So I ordered the lower and handguard from RTG parts, but the green buttstock has been sold out for a while. So, I'm wondering if this is an alternative. Can I purchase this G3 green buttstock :

G3 GREEN BUTTSTOCK WITH BUTTPAD NEW - POF

... and mate it to this PCS adapter:

Parkerized HK93 HK33 Steel Back Plate, HK-1539, RTG Parts

...and thus attach the G3 stock to my Zenith? Would that work? Do I need to buy a buffer to add? I know it won't be exactly the same as the picture shown above but a close approximation? What do you guys think about the feasibility and about the aesthetics?

I too have been waiting for the green POF MP5 buttstock... One thing I can tell you about the green G3 stocks is they don't match the MP5 ones very well... At least not the three I have seen in person.
Good luck though... Seems like the one for the MP5 has been out of stock forever... Like unicorn status forever!

yea, this whole adventure is actually YOUR fault since I got the idea from your WTB ad! But I appreciate the input about colors @rickj1nd I PM'd Robert at RTG about future availability of the MP5 green stocks (haven't heard back just yet) but I suspect its going to be like the wood stocks - you have to find someone willing to sell. Very frustrating since the damn platform is ubiquitous globally.

In regards to your question about the combo setup, I believe the length of pull on the G3 stock is longer than that of the MP5. You'd get the green look, but it would feel all wrong. The back plate for MP5 A2 stocks is normally solid with a slight recess, so I'm not sure if the 33/93 back plate would cause any issues or not.

On the subject of availability, I love the color and it is definitely unique. I am beginning to question if there is any sizeable demand for these furniture sets. If there is such a demand, then it is definitely falling on deaf ears. Despite the pervasiveness of the MP5, these green sets are relatively rare for at least two reasons. The first one is that this never was an Oberndorf offering. These sets were only made by POF. The second reason might be that it was a very small contract. The only time I ever saw any pictures of them was about 15 years ago, here on the forum, in the "HKs in Action" thread. The end users were Mexican Federales. Now, this is anecdotal evidence at best, but when I made a comment on RTG's social media about a Mexican contract, the notion went unchallenged and was simply "liked." Needless to say, I don't think these sets were produced en masse.

POF is clearly focused on black furniture for the American market, probably because that is the perceived demand. The people importing and selling these guns in large quantities are the ones who have the purchasing power to request production of these items, but again, this continues to go ignored. Damn shame really...
