I saw a P9S Target for sale--I own a Combat model now and would love a Target--but there's an odd protrusion in the trigger guard. I zoomed in on the pictures posted online to show more detail. It almost looks like some type of trigger stop, but not the normal crescent-shaped one that's integral to the trigger guard. Any ideas?

You already said it, it's a trigger stop. It is just folded all the way up where it shouldn't be. The fork at the bottom is held by an adjustment screw, and the whole thing pivots on the small drift pin above.

All is fine.

I see it now! Thanks! I had no idea the stop could pivot up that high--I've never seen a Target model in person. P9Ss are uncommon already in Canada and Taregt models even more so.

Well, believe it or not my search for a P9S 9mm Target model actually ended up uncovering a "like new" .45 ACP Sport Model. I couldn't resist it, and it should be on its way to me early next week. I'll update this thread when it arrives.
