One important issue is whether it's a "swing down" push-pin conversion or not. The "swing down" type command a premium because they are factory-correct. Does the front of the trigger grip have a real push-pin that it can pivot around? Don't go by appearance - many have a fake front push-pin.
I don't know the manufacturer, and I don't believe the seller does either as he tried telling me it was a g3 (which it is not). Also, he had no mention of swing down so I assume it is not present in this rifle. How much does this hurt its value?

If you could get photos of the receiver and any markings that would be great. He may have referred to it as a G3 because it has been restamped G3 over the 91 which was/is common.
