When I purchased my HK94 back in 1987, those shrouds and verticle grips came with the weapon. It appeared to be an aftermarket item that HK had added in this country to help boost sales because of the long skinny barrel wasn't "tacticool" before that word was invented. I remember that HK was even marketing a counter-sniper model of the HK94 back then also with a scope and bipod.
