A RR/PP MP5k would presumably need to be made from an HK94 as the 89's would have been manufactured too late, is that correct? This would require a significant amount of parts/machine work given the difference in dimensions (cocking tube, length of flat etc). I know many of us are purists with PP guns but in the K I have concerns about the amount of work that would need to be done and the likelihood that it was done well. Curious on others thoughts.

Not mine......I wish....looks really nice. No affiliation.

The description reads "HK MP5K registered push pin receiver PDW. The paperwork lists this as a Special Weapons Company gun and its in fantastic condition. This is an incredibly low round count MG coming out of an old collection. The gun is currently sporting a 4 position lower, 3 lug barrel, and original Choate folding stock. One magazine will be included with the sale."

I thought the rr pp G3 was reasonable $

The pdw does not say it's a pp id bet it's a shelf gun that someone put a burst pack on...

Ad does not say, but wonder if it has a Hk German PDW barrel? I have a push pin RR MP5k-PDW and frankly I think the price might be a little low
if it has a German PDW barrel. A push pin MP5 sold on Gun Broker for $35k a few months ago and there are a lot more RR PP MP5's than k's.
Here are a couple pics for your enjoyment.

Weapon was done by Fleming Firearms. I had Terry Dyer replace the barrel with a real PDW barrel and
refinish it.

Correct. Looked more into this example and it was manufactured from an HK94 into an MP5K PPRR. Note the KAL vs CAL markings on the receiver.

SAMMY!
