So huge rookie here. Anyways I was cleaning my VP9 and forgot to switch the disassembly switch back after locking the slide once it was all put back together. I hit the slide release and the slide flew off and hit the cement. the rear sight was knocked off and now it moves left and right freely with no snugness at all. What should I do?

And never utilize a cement structure for a sight tool. :wink:

Is that a factory sight? Hopefully it didn't break the notch when you dropped it..

You need a new rear sight. HK might warranty the issue (never hurts to ask) or now is a good opportunity to upgrade.

How about going outside and tossing it backwards over your shoulder down the driveway ? That might work better than a rivet :wink:
