I just got my first gun about a month ago, the HK P30S V3. I want to get a .22 trainer for this gun and was wondering if there are any recommendations for a good .22 trainer pistol for a HK P30 9mm since HK doesn't make .22 pistols? I was considering M&P 22 or Walther P22.

Ruger SR22. That thing blows the Walther away. No experience on the M&P.

Sig Sauer Classic P Series in 22 caliber. Available in models 220, 226, and 229. It has an actual SIG centerfire caliber frame with a 22 upper. True DA/SA trigger pulls and about the best you will find in a 22 combat pistol trainer. My 220 22 runs very well on the bulk Remington Golden Bullets. Bill

Thanks for the input. Still looking at m&p 22, walther p22, ruger sr22. No one in town has the sig in 22, but staying away from mosquitoes(told locally they're no good by a few shops.

GREAT advice. The mosquitoes are crap. Worse than anything I have ever seen.

How about the CZ Kadet .22? Great practice piece with weight and dimesions the same as it's big brother, the CZ 75 9mm. I have the complete Kadet model but I've found that the slide of the .22 Kadet will fit perfectly on my stainless CZ 75 9mm...2 calibers!
Anyway...this is a great example of a cheap practice gun with the same proprotions, or close to it, as your carry piece.
