All: Been shooting surplus like most of you I guess, but that is drying up, and is somewhat disappointing in accuracy, reliability, and one might be able to modify the recoil impulse somewhat (favorably) with handloads in a PTR91.

In order to avoid reinventing the wheel, I thought I'd ask the cognoscenti (that's you guys) what if any experiments you've conducted to produce 308 loads that cycle the actions on these clones reliably, are accurate, and seem to not thump the operator quite as hard?

To get it started, I've been loading a mil equivalent of 42 grains of H4895 with the 147grain military FMJ bullets in ancient vintage 1950's and 1960s RA cases with a CCI standard large rifle primer.
