New to firearms and to Phoenix for that matter. Can anyone recommend a good place (i.e. good deals) to purchase an HK in the Valley (preferably NW Valley, but will travel for a good deal). Thanks.

Scottsdale gun club tends to have the most consistent pricing, and from what ive seen they are usually the cheapest... if they arent, they price match. I generally dont even waste time with Buds or other online shops anymore because after the hassle, FFL fee etc, you arent saving much if any at all. All throughout the "shortage" they havent raised any of their prices unless the manufacturer did.

The biggest and most likely to have the largest stock of HK's is The Scottsdale Gun Club. They also are a class III dealer. Caswells is also good, however, I have never bought from them and their prices can be high on some weapons. I would also highly recommend Shooting Star. I purchased an AK and also a USP from them and their service is outstanding. They installed a site rail on my AK, and night sites on the USP for no extra charge, while I waited. Shooting star is also class III. I hope this helps.

theres a spot called shooters vault that gets nice factory refurbs for a good price here and there. theyre at greenway and 32nd st. NE corner. again, not a huge selection, but at least it's all police and tactical related stock

Thanks fellas. I stopped by SGC last week and quickly perused the selection. Great stuff, but def. pricey. $999 for a HK45....uh...no thanks. I'd sooner buy from Sportsman's Warehouse ($949).
I'll check out Cabelas and Shooting Star. Any others?

I think your best option would be to order from CDNN, then ahve it shipped to one of the local dealers. They usually have the best deals on HK handguns. Got my usp compact for 550 from them. Then just had it shipped here.

I also like shooters vault. for handguns right now bear arms in scottsdale is were i go.

US Autoweapons is now open next door to SGC and offers a friendly helpful staff and decent prices on guns and accessories. They will beat the price on anything in SGC and either have it in stock or can order it from their warehouse. They also consign guns there, saw a USP 45 for $650 with mags and night sights in good shape about 2 weeks ago.

I would also suggest a company called BEAR ARMS off Gold Dust and Scottsdale Rd...SE corner in strip. Yes albeit they may seem a bit Narsacistic. but its only because they know their Sh**. I love this place and they have decent prices and are a CLASS III dealers. did I mention decent prices . you want better? stick to the internet and "wonder" what you may be getting. this is a real store and walk ins are accepted :-D Serioulsy thoough I went in with a pistol to have it checked and see if it needed anything to make it better.. Guy opened er up lloks and poked and said. NOPE great gun. clean it. thats it. I wouldnt do anything else"..it was an Hk usp 45 of coarse you dont need to DO anything to it. LOL

Try Davidson's Gun Genie. They can tell you the best place with in 100 miles of the best prices you can find. At the moment, there is a shop at Greenway & 67th Ave that has the lowest prices in town.

Can find good deals at Shooters Vault every now and then (picked up a P2kSK for cheap there). I really like SGC for their selection and LEO discounts. Cabelas is overpriced IMO. Sportsmans can have some good deals every now and then.

Funny that this 2008 thread has legs again.

East Valley shops that carry HK:

Pistol Parlor in Mesa ( Pistol Parlour ) - Super tiny shop with TONS of stuff crammed in it and VERY NICE people. The owners work there every day and even during the first part of this year had good prices and a very good attitude despite the mayhem and hoards of first time buyers with no gun shop etiquiette. I've bought several firearms from PP.

Also AJI ( A.J.I. Sporting Goods - Phoenix area gun dealer, gun supplies, AZ Firearms dealer | AJ, Mesa, East Valley Gun Dealer ) - Theyre all over the board with stock so I'd call first to see if they have any HK stuff in. I have seen HK 9mm whatevers there (I'm sorry I'm not into HK handguns at all) from time to time
