I've had Trijicon's on a S&W CORE and traded for a Glock 17 with one. I've gotten very good with each of them. My problem is I love my P2K9 as my EDC and I've used it ti actually stop a robbery. However I realize I'm getting older so I want to go back to an HK. I could have my good old P2K9 V1milled, my P30L V1 milled, or get a VP 9? I always value the advice I get from folks here.

I'm waiting to see HK's next product releases. They have been putting out a lot of things for the civilian market the last couple of years. That's been making more than enough $$ to pay for it's self. The competitive shooters are getting HK's attention also. I would not surprised it they start offering those services on the products they have. It's all about the $$$. If they can make a profit on it. It's a done deal. It would be nice.

I recently had APO mill the slide of a P30L for an RMR and I must say -- I like it. Just like putting a red dot on an AR...it's like cheating.

They also replaced the sights with a Heine suppressor height set. Only on the P30, I believe, they have to mill the front of the rear sight as well to accommodate the RMR mount.

I'd do the VP . The trigger breaks faster and there is less movement with the slide . I had a Trijicon RMR on a 9mm P30L Light LEM W-short take up / short reset reduction . It was fine , but it's better with a trigger that breaks towards the front .

Crash, could you elaborate one what the trigger has to do with the RMR? I hadn't heard that before.
The shorter the trigger pull until the shot breaks , the less chance the DOT has of moving before the shot breaks . For conversation purposes , imagine putting an RMR on a P30 with a STOCK LEM trigger . When you start the press it takes like 10 minutes before the shot let's off . The DOT could be dim from a low battery condition .

In my opine , the shorter the take up and the crisper the break , the better ( the more effective ) the RMR will be to shoot . But then again , I could be totally wrong , and if you feel that way , I will PayPal you ONE $ as a friend and you can call someone who gives a poop !

Lol. Your such a curmudgeon, I love it. I get what you're saying, but I think the same problem would be displayed with a normal iron sight picture. We could probably just say that the VP9 has a much better trigger than the P30 -- I don't think too many people would argue to the contrary.

Sorry , my verbosity sometimes looks like a laxative that I also dispense, and I substitute the 2 ( two ) . You know , I really do like all the different triggers that HK's customers have asked them to produce. Seriously. The VP IS the easiest to pick up and start shooting decently. But if you ever wanted to go out in dessert where the tumbleweeds blow , and where to try and rob a stagecoach while riding a Denver Bronco , not the blue one at the airport , you'd really need to have the tried and true DA/SA USP trigger. Seriously now.

Hi, my S&W has the full APEX trigger package and has a very short pull aand reset. The Glock is also very short and like breaking a pipe of glass. It's just that I love my P2K9 with a trigger job ny Bill Springfield. In some ways I would like to get a 40 and then a 357 Sig barrel.
