The 05 mounts are far between and more expensive than gold so i have searched for an alternative.
For a long time it was the B-square and Sun Optics floppy alu, but an extensive Google search in Germany has surfaced 2 interesting things:

A Picatinny rail thet goes instead of rings on the 05 mount:
Rectangle

Adapter Spannmontage HK05 auf Weaver/Picatinny-Profil - GFB - Mechanik & Systemtechnik

And Picatinny rails that omit the 05 base and mount directly onto the action:
Gun Rifle Firearm Air gun Trigger

IEA - H&K SL6/7

Technology Electronic device

Büchsenmacherei
And they got 05 bases and rings also!

I got the bottom one now all i need is the rifle :)

Nice sleuthing! You have helped me as well. How was the shipping? I have an 05 mount, but I need 30mm rings for it to put the S&B in it.
I made a bank transfer monday and had it in the mail yesterday (Denmark).

I contacted them by mail and they do English just fine.
I have bought from IEA in the past. Easy to deal with. The only hold up was the export permit.

Ah, so you are in Europe. I wonder if they will ship to US. I have a Netherlands bank account so that part is not the problem, but shipping to US may be.
No worries, i can be middle man.
They ship to me and i'll repackage the mount sans papers and it's just a machine part worth $12 sent as a gift.
Then is scoots right through in no time flat.

Thank you, I appreciate your offer!
If you're looking for an alternative mount for a SL6, SL7 or HK 300, A.R.M.S. made scope rails for those 3 models. The receivers of those models are factory drilled and tapped in conjunction with the square recesses milled into the receiver covers that the 05 mount uses. I use ARMS #22 QD rings on the rails but you could use any picatinny style ring. Those rails are usually available on Gun Broker or E Bay. The rails are less then $30 but the rings and 1" inserts are a little spendy but beats a $600 05 mount at least in price.
Wow, this thread is very timely. I was just pondering how to best mount 30mm rings on my HK630. I have the HK05 scope mount already, so the option from GFB would be ideal, but it doesn't look like they ship to the US. The last link no longer seems to work, but I'll check it again later.
Thank you for posting this! If all else fails I might just end up with the IEA version anyway.
Oh I'd love to get one of this pic rails for the 05 mount. I really don't want to use the 1" rings and can't find 30mm anywhere.

How can we do a group purchase???

I think you and I are in the same boat. I have 2 sets of 1" rings and have looked high and low for 30mm.
I sent an e-mail to GFB earlier this week. I'll let you know what I hear. Another interesting thing I noticed on their site is that they have the 30mm rings in stock! I asked about those too.

Thank you for letting me know. Can't wait to hear what they say.

I just wanted to update this thread and say that I never heard back from GFB, but I'm corresponding with IEA and am hoping I can work something out with them. They seem concerned that a single rail for the 630 isn't worth doing the export permit process for though, so I'm not sure if we'll be able to make a deal. If anyone is interested in a group buy then possibly that might be more appealing to them.
Cheers,
B
I'd do it, in for 2. But we're talking about for the HK05 scope mount which fits all Sporters? Just want the make sure I'm on the same page.

Nope, I'm looking to buy this:
IEA - H&K SL6/7

It should work on the SL6, SL7, and the related HK hunting rifles.
So you are going to tap you upper receiver to install? It doesn't look like it attaches via the scope mount points.

As I can't read German anymore is it the pic rail or is it a newly milled upper receiver?

I was thinking you were talking about the pic rail that's made to fit into the scope mount instead of rings.

It's just a pic rail. The description says it mounts with two fastening screws to the existing mounting points. They do offer the option to tap your top cover, but it's not required.

I think the other company (GFB) sold something like you describe, but since they didn't reply to my e-mail I went looking for other options.
If that mounts into the existing mount points, I'm in for 2.

It does say an internal cover plate must be removed. I'll have to check out my 630 and see what they're talking about. If it's too invasive I might look for a replacement top cover to modify.

Those two rails mount to the action cover with two large head screws going up through the in side of the square holes into the rails where the 05 locks into. I made my own similar mount using a two small milled steel pieces fitted into the inside of the action cover with two screws going through the top rail and action cover into the small pieces that lock into the action cover. They are squares so they lock into the square opening from the bottom of the action cover. See this thread that I posted a day ago for pictures. http://www.hkpro.com/forum/hk-long-gun-talk/308505-hk-630-scope-mount.html
