While I would like to have one...at 4k, it's not happening. Not cuz I can't afford it, but frankly I'd rather spend the coin on the Colt SP901 or LMT MWS.
Now if it sells for 2500.00-2800.00? I'll consider it.

$4000 is soooo far out of line for this gun. I don't see where they spent $1700 going from 5.56 to .308. Just a bit rediculous. I want one, but not for anywhere near that price.

The MR556 is listed at over $3200. It sells for $2500. You figure it out.

The price is insane! In this tough economic market you would figure H&K would give the consumer a break. Apparently not! However, I am glad that MR556 uppers will be easily attainable now.

Euro's to dollars does not help the matter any....... That said, we all know the first ones out will go for a premium, and the price will likely subsequently go down as history has shown

That is incorrect. The 10.5" upper is for LE/Mil sales only.

Only the 16.5" upper is available for civilian sales.
