whats the best way to blend the stock back in ?? it looks brilliant imo, and since i find the safety catch wat too far to reach with my thumb i would be able to move my hand around.

got sum Brugger & Thomet parts last week... there expensive ... but in sex appeal (can i say that without sounding weird, or do ppl here no what im talkin about ) of course usefulness...brilliant. Im in love with my SL-8 but unfortunatly ive pics to follow .. gonne read up on how to do it !

Is this all freehand work or does anyone have some different style templates made up? I want to keep the 20" barrel but lose the "butthole" stock concept.

arcaglas is one option, it's also possible to use other epoxy types.

brownell's has somthing called marine-tex http://www.brownells.com/aspx/ns/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=13212&title=MARINE-TEX
i've been told that the grey was wery good on the sl8 plastic.

but arcaglas might be the best choice if marine tex is unavailable ;-)
i don't know what phil covington used to glue he's stocks, but i have seen only one cracked. (only cosmetic)

Soldering pen that you don't like the tip on and a old g3 stock. Just cut out and weld it together, sand down. Use a paper towel and some solvent to retexture then get some duracoat hk black about three hrs plus drying time.
