I'm still new to the HK scene and am about to get the SL8-6. I would like to ask anyone's advice in here who does the best conversion to a G36 for a reasonable price.
Thanks,
Dave
Thanks,

Um, hate to rain on the parade but being an sbr does not preclude from having to be 922r compliant.+1 yes, what dwillHK said... Sorry, I had the 922r parts in another column on my spreadsheet as I accounted for selling those parts off after the SBR was approved... Thanks...
Really??? I was under the impression that once the ATF approves the SBR, the 922r compliance is no longer required. Whoah... I'm gonna have to research and look into this a bit more now... :-\Um, hate to rain on the parade but being an sbr does not preclude from having to be 922r compliant.
Absolutely very much appreciated sir... I think all of us are in the same boat where we love our hobby and HK's too much to risk any chance of losing them over somethign like that... Thanks again...No problem. Just here to help!
Just found it... Thanks for the heads up... Guess it's back to buying additional parts now...
"However, the Bureau has previously determined that the lawful
making of an NFA weapon would not violate Section 922(r), since the
section only addresses the assembly of "nonsporting" firearms, and
not the making of NFA weapons. Therefore, the lawful making of a
short barreled rifle would not be precluded by Section 922(r)."
Here's what I found using Google. Looks like an excerpt of a letter from an NFA chief to another individual. Can I ask you where you found that quote? Thanks,
