Hey guys!
I'm new here and soon to be the proud owner of an sl8. After browsing through a fair amount of gun porn I convinced myself to get oneas my first rifle because I've heard so many good things about it and I wanted something in .223 that was different from the standard ar15 platform. but the hand grip is a little uncomfortable for me. The thumb hole sits in an awkward place around my palm and is nowherenear as comfortable as an aics stock (for example).
Despite this, I am getting the rifle and will make it my mission to modify the stock to become more comfortable. Now, I've seen quite a few stocks modified to take pistol grips and the nice magpul prs2 even... so on to the main question.
Does anybody know how to modify the stock and is willing to write a little instructions on how to do it?
I don't know how much it would cost to have someone do it for me, and I'm from connecticut so a g36 folding stock is an assault weapon no-go.
Womething like the hera ar15 stock adapter is neat, but quite expensive and I am on a little bit of a budget after the purchase of the sl8 itself...
I have a little ability in fabricating things (though I would only truly call myself proficient on a 3-axis mill ha)
SO if anyone has any suggestions I would gladly appreciate some asistance, thanks!
