Looking for a conversion specialist for a SL8 to G36 conversion. Who is the best out there right now if I didn't want to send the gun to Tommybuilt? Been out of the game for a while and I know Joe at Dakota isn't doing them anymore. Does Black Ops Defense do good work? Anyone else I should contact?

I used to know the name of another outfit that did the conversions, but I can't for the life of me remember who.

So, I don't have an answer, but I do have a question.

Is there a reason why you would not want to send it to Tom? He's probably one of the best SL8/G36 smiths around outside of HK. And I'm sure I can't be the only one wondering.

Yeah I don’t want to turn this into a bash thread or rehash previous issues but I’ve had two serious issues with tommybuilt. Previous G36 conversion still has serious issues and the USC to ump45 conversion went back three times before it would fire. Went back and forth for a while and would rather not repeat the experience. Just looking for someone else to do work since previous two experiences weren’t stellar. Have a 2021 import SL8 and looking for someone to perform a G36 conversion.

Tom does great work. For a G36 conversion I would not trust anyone else to do the work. He converted mine and it’s perfect. DT has to long of a wait list for anything. I have never seen a G36 from Black Ops only an UMP using a stock block.
