FYI, SL8-4's are not marked as such on the reciever. They are just marked "SL8".

The SL8-4's do have an "SL8-4" prefix on the serial number plate, though.

How easy/hard is it to convert a indented magwell to hold a regular G36 mag?
You need to mill out the area of the reciever that the magazine goes into, and get a G36 mag well (will fit the SL8-1/6 it just pops on).

If you want it to look good, epoxy or plastic-weld a piece from the old magazine well onto the reciever area thats been cut out, and get some paint or other stuff onto it to finish it...

You have to comply with the 10 parts rule, also (assuming you are in the US).
