When I put a new mag in my P30 the slide goes forward on its own when I push the mag in hard. It also just releases on its own if I give the bottom of the gun a firm tap. I'm just wondering if this is typical for HKs. I don't really see it being much of a problem.. I'm just curious.

My 9mm ELITE w/funnel kit & 18round plastic mags does that. It's the only one that does. Doesn't bother me as I expect it to do it. I think it is just the particular gun but not sure as this my only 9mm (others are 45s & 1 .40)

I like it too, however on my expert, it tends to stovepipe the first round about 30% of the time.

All my HK (spare P7M13) do/did that. It's nice as it speeds up reloads on IDPA matches and some competence tests. Also my STI 2011 works same way (I sometime do plan slide lock reload on those "can't miss" long IPSC stages).
