Hi all ill get right to the point,

so i remember in my hours of reading about ptrs somthing came up with certain issues with certain serial numbers. I was hoping someone could post those findings here so i can check my serial number.

Also i have to sight this thing which i never have done before. I always worked around the sight if that makes any sense. i would like to be on target with cross hairs(i have a1-6x24 scope) at about three hundred yards.

And then i would like to the iron sights to be set to about 50 yards. These distances are just ideas not set in stone. Can anyone point me towards a site or any resources that i can use to do this properly.

any help and advice is appreciated keep on keeping on guys/gals

also i heard somthing about a gap that you have to look out for after shooting can someone let me know what this is?

Do a search here on "Bolt Gap", you should get several good threads about it and how to check it.

The issues youre referencing were from a few years ago, so unless you bough it used you shouldn't need to worry about it.

also do you happen the weight differnce between thew wood stock and the plastic stock? The ptr is a little front heavy i was trying to balance it out.
