So what are my options for a brand new, 9mm threaded barrel for my P30?

I've seen the one in the Hk Pro store. Everything is good except I'm very particular, and the barrel is too long. I like the can to be as flush as possible to the slide leaving just enough of a gap to ensure proper operation, which is 1/8 of an inch correct? Those P30L barrels that they thread for the P30 are just too long for my taste. Are there no other options? I remember hearing a story about how folks in Canada have a minimum barrel length law on pistols, and that Hk in accordance with that law ship out P30s with factory threaded barrels because they are just long enough to abide by the law, and they are perfect they don't have the extra gap in barrel that the P30L barrels do installed on a P30. Getting a barrel extension is not an option because for one I don't trust them and for another my P30 is my EDC. I just want to be able to slap a can on it whenever I feel like it. I have decided on an AAC Ti-Rant 9s if that helps.

Maybe get a p30l barrel and have it cut to your preferred length then thread the barrel after cutting?

Where would I get a P30L barrel, and where would I send it to cut and threaded? I don't know anything about this stuff so it would have to be a shop that can figure out the measurements on their own and get it right.

Then proceed with caution. Don't take this the wrong way, but it's a barrel and a can; not a pair of earrings to go with a dress. If you want a can, get the TB, pay the tax and enjoy the can with the gun. You are inviting more trouble than it is worth for the "look" of the gun---IMHO.

Good luck.

The amount of money I'm spending between the can and the new barrel I'm allowed to be particular. To me it looks stupid with that extra bit of barrel between the slide and the can and I'm not gonna spend well over a grand to look at it and not love it every time I see it. I guess I shouldn't say I don't know "anything" about this sort of thing, I've been drooling over cans for over 2 years now and researched them a lot but I don't know enough to give a shop a precise measurement to cut off the barrel and to thread.

then send it to tornado but of course contact them to explain what you are looking for
The Ti-Rant itself will leave a 5/16" gap between the Slide and the can.

You're going to have to cut the treads off the can and JB weld it flush to get that low drag look.
Hkparts actually.had p30 threaded barrels in stock not too long ago. Original german barrels with threads added on. Maybe contact adam and see if he will get any more in (i think they are all sold out at the moment) or see who did the work for him.

OP said hes seen those, but wants the can closer to slide then that barrel provides.
If you don't like what HK Parts has to offer them you'll have to spend the extra cash to get a custom one. Good luck
I actually had a p30 barrel that had a extension and threads put on by adco. They did a very good job.
