For what it‘s worth, I stumbled over two German news articles concerning H&K today.

The first one is one week old, from German newspaper „WELT“‘s online site, from November 1st:

https://www.welt.de/wirtschaft/article202853626/Andreas-Heeschen-Verschollener-Heckler-Koch-Eigentuemer-meldet-sich-zu-Wort.html?wtrid=kooperation.reco.taboola.free.welt.mobile

It‘s about H&Ks majority shareholder Andreas Heeschen giving a statement about why a German court order could not be served to him. Former CEO Nicola Marinelli is suing H&K for half a million Euros he is eligible for if a „Change-of-Control“ took place, I. E. the Company – or the majority of shares – was sold. Heeschen stated that –quote– „I am the majority share holder of H&K AG and exercise full share voting rights from all of my shears since incorporation of the AG“–unquote–. Rumour has it, that he might have sold his shares to French investor Nicolas Walewski . Given Heeschens wording, recent speculations are that he might have deposited his shares as collateral for loans he used to keep the company afloat…

And then there ist the second article from German news/TV–Site n–tv:

https://www.n-tv.de/wirtschaft/Investor-will-Heckler-Koch-kaufen-article21383746.html

About investors having applied for the acquisition of H&K with the federal ministry of economics, who can veto the sale of companies of strategic importance. Apparently the application came from a minority shareholder and a consortium of investors from Barbados, the USA (is that you Oicani ), New Zealand, Malta and Luxembourg. A central figure is reported to be a Frenchman called – Nicolas Walewski. Apparently the application was filed ONE YEAR AGO, and the ministry of economics ordered German foreign intellectual service BND to check on the applicants, strategic interests and all...

The articles are in German, but I guess everybody (except me) can link a google translation.

Looks that right now, when H&K generates the first revenue in years, ownership might change. And with that maybe availability of certain products in certain countries…
