Ok thanks for the info but I have another question. Cheaper than dirt has the mag but it appears to come with the pinky rest type floor plate. Will my original 10 round mag floor plate interchange with the USP compact mag?

Xgrip, with just a little bit of sanding in the corners to remove the little bit of resistance.

Also, a discovery I just made last night. lots of people have been using a P2000SK baseplate with the finger rest with the same light sanding to make it fit. I had a USP-C/P2000 9mm one laying around too, and that one fit with even less sanding required than the P2000SK ones. They're a slightly different mold and it seems to fit better. Technically it didn't even need sanding, but was just a hair tight.

Is there one for a 15 round mag? If I carry an extra mag, I'd carry a 15.

Yes. It is a p30-p2000sk spacer, but will also work with the P30sk like the 13 rounders. It's even a little bit better of a fit, not as tight. Your other option is there seem to be a few people around the internet (mostly ebay) who design and 3d-print spacers. My preference however is the +1 pinky extension from HKparts. Not as much capacity, but more concealable and it's a perfect fit, no resistance inserting the mag.

I received my aluminum plus one extension today from Hk parts and I just installed it. Looks and feels great but the mag will now need a slight heel of the hand tap to seat it. I will see how it runs at the range tomorrow. The thing was expensive as compared to the plastic Pearce plus one extension I bought for my Glock 41 but it is very solid and beautifully made.

Kost was kind enough to post the pictures of what I use.

I use the USPc/P2000 13 round magazine with the X-Grip adapter for the P2000SK and it works great as is with no modifications. HK Parts and sometimes Midwest Gun Works have the 13 round magazine with the flat base plate.

Heckler and Koch USPC / P2000 9mm 13 Rd. Magazine

Here is a picture of my P30SK setup like that in it's case and you can see how much shorter it is than the P30 grip would be. I have the HK Parts new/lighter pinky extender but I prefer the 13 round magazine and X-Grip as it is the same height giving my 3 additional rounds and it just feels more natural for my pinky as the extender is farther forward in comparison.

Mine did that the first time I used it also. Actually I couldn't get it to seat at all. Took one round out and it fit. Emptied out the mag at the range and ever since it's been fine, maaaaaybe a hair tighter than the standard 10 round. I believe it just didn't stack quite right that first time. Try reloading yours.
