Anyone tried it? I am thinking of getting the briefcase to play with.
Depends on the state. In Michigan, SBRs that fit the definition of a pistol, and registered as such carried by someone with a CPL (Concealed Pistol License) concealed is legal so that would be an option in my state. An MG trigger pack or sear in an SBR host, not certain. Law probably doesn't specify that in MI.Not to hijack anything here, but could that briefcase be used for ccw?
Putting a pistol in a box disguised as a briefcase may be considered an AOW, so that is one federal concern if that is the case. (No pun intended)Yes, just talking about taking an sp5k in stock form and throwing it in there. I'm in illinois so they'd probably lock you up. But are there any federal regulations against something like that?
Edit. Knowing the sp5k is a pistol and not sbr
Perhaps in the 80/90s. Today people would look at the 20 something carrying what looks like a Samsonnite briefcase. A MP5KN fits in a LV briefcase.... Also someone would need to do is design a handle and cut a hole in one side and you'd be good to go.Are there any known cases of the operational briefcase being used in actual operations? It's such an interesting device.

HmMm - maybe ring them up and present your naught-naught spy credentials? Steen.....Phil Steen.....(cue the music)I don't see a button for "ADD TO CART"
As clunky as those things are, I think they can be upgraded for the 21st century - if there's a real possibility of use, for real, I don't see why there couldn't be a bracket fabricated that would fasten up inside the case to hold a targeting laser (w/ windage & elevation adjustments), set to shine through a small peephole sealed with a gasket between the case and the laser. A dummy-proof switch setup would have to be designed that activates the laser when the 5K goes into action - it would have to be simple and sure so that it won't come on by accident, creating some 'awkward' situations, if you can imagine.i have never seen them with gray locks and stripes ......i always seen them with chrome locks and aluminum stripes .. i have a new handle with trigger mech if someone is interested .
