Is one date code more desirable/valuable than another? If so, what is it that makes one date code more valuable than another? Thanks.

The IK is the most desirable, as all the others fall beyond 1989 and are thus affected by 922r. Of course this only is a concern if your plan is to convert the SP89 to MP5K SBR.

Got it. Thanks.

So, what would you expect to pay for an IK date code versus a KA? I saw that a KA NIB went for 4250.00 on this site today.

Would a KA be more valuable than a KD for any reason?

I think besides IK, the other date codes don't matter much. Prices have been all over the map lately from $3500 to $5500. The higher prices are usually for NIB with original packaging. Not sure the condition of yours and the accessories available.
