Does anyone know if this mount is any good. I don't shoot a lot with a scope so it is hard for me to justify spending 400 on a HK one so I was looking at the Tapco one and was wondering if it is any good?

I think you can find German ones for cheaper than 400.
I have the Tapco and I use it with a light/scope for night hunting hogs. It always re-zeros and has worked well for me. Fit my JLD/PTR just fine/solid.
I figured "hey, if I`m gonna have a clone why not go all the way".
Look for the HK mounts before you get a Tapco. Deals are out there. When I bought mine the price difference was more than it is now I believe.

I think Cheaper than Dirt has the mount, Hensoldt 4x scope for around $375. Original mounts can be had for around $100.

I think cheeper then dirt has them for 175. I was looking at a tapco new for about $50
