Can either stock take an upgraded Bill Springfield buffer?

Second, what is the diff. between the SG1 and G3 "export" /HK91 style wide handguards? They look identical - on the internet...

As far carrier buffer and stock buffer, there have been mixed results. Most have ejection problems but I believe a couple people have had good results with double buffer. You could just pull the buffer from the carrier. Whatever you do, don't leave the stock buffer out when you shoot . I did this 10 days ago after switching carriers from a bufferred to a non buffered and forgot to put in the buffered stock(DOH)! Shoulder is still bruised. I didn't figure out why it was kicking so hard until I went to clean it. I know, pretty dumpy of me. Do a search on double buffering.

The sg1 wide handguard lacks the sling mounting point. There is one riveted to the normal g3 ones.

Curious about the spring field buffer. Does it make a big difference on those telescoping stocks?
