Supply & Demand mixed with a little gun control.... In Box New H&K MR556A1 : Semi Auto Rifles at GunBroker.com

Perhaps the highest I've seen them go for: $3,325.
I was the first bidder for that MR556 and had been watching that auction closely. It had been sitting at $2,900 for several days.

This MR556 is in California, and it will be interesting to see what the market brings for that one.

I picked up a barely used BB date code MR556 in Dallas this weekend for $2,600. I was very happy to be able to shop locally and skip Gunbroker for that one.

I guess nobody wants to hear that I can walk into my LGS in Germany and purchase a MR556A3 w/11" barrel for $2674 or a MR762A3 w/14" barrel for $3074 in black or RAL out the door today.

Highest I've seen is $3,850 on Gunbroker.

NEW - HK MR556 NOT noveske, colt, lwrc : Semi Auto Rifles at GunBroker.com

GB#: 595501849
Starting Bid was $3,400
Buyout was $3,850
Date: Nov 4 2016 (before election)

I wonder if the seller was a FFL, in order to profit from the firearm trading...

Sometimes I think the bid war in GB can become a personal pride issue. The rifle you noted was $2,900 for a few days. It went up to $3,300 range in the last 15 minutes. Sometimes people just want to screw with the highest bidder by jacking up the price... until they become the highest bid and no one else bid anymore...

That's how I ended up with my ACR.

I guess you don't want to hear that I can walk into my local car dealership in America and purchase a Ford Mustang GT Fastback 5.0 liter for $35,000 euro (vs. $43,000 euro in Germany), or a Chevy Camaro V8 6.2 liter for $$38,000 euro (vs. $48,000 euro in Germany)

What can I say?
