The new Miller TIG

I REALLY like the new TIG welder. At some point I'll add the pulser option to it, but for now I'm really happy with how easy it makes welding.
Here are some photos of my new rear sight base and throat welds. Also the cleaner cocking tube welds.

SL8 to G36C conversion

Here's an SL8 to G36C conversion w/ faux silencer (two different styles). The nice thing with particular conversion is that the barrel is 16.5" and the faux silencer is a solid slip over shroud so it can be removed for easy removal of the handguard.

D54KP-N Reverse-Stretch

This is known as a "reverse-stretch". It is available as a pistol or short-barreled rifle in 9mm and soon .40 S&W, 10mm and .357 SIG.
The RS features a "K" front end with standard full-length receiver.
The benefits to this is a firearm is the compact muzzle of a K-gun with stock and sling options of a full-sized.
While the RS design has been around for many years, we teamed-up with HKParts.net to re-introduce this platform to use readily available replacements parts for ease of serviceability.

D54-SD

Here's the debut of the D54-SD A3 shown with post-sample trigger pack. It is also available as the D54P-SD (pistol). Admitedly, some of the cage welds came out a bit larger than I wanted but overall I am very happy with the final. It's finished in Duracoat which I am still working on elimiating some of the texture. I think my next step is a different spray gun. The cocking tube supprt has been carefully milled to allow fitting of the various oversized SD silencers that are available. No milling is necessary when using the original aluminum SD silencers which have a slightly smaller diameter than the current ones. As always, everything gets refinished, even the push-pin :)

Thanks for your on-going support! Enjoy!

D51P

Here's the D51P (shown with post-sample trigger pack and A2 stock). It features the new RCM 51 cold hammer forged barrel chambered in 7.62 NATO. We've improved this platform so that is uses a standard G3 locking-piece, rendering it extremely controllable.

I was recently given the honor of converting a pre-86 registered receiver push-pin HK93 to an HK33K for investment purpose. The owner secured a factory HK33K 1:7 twist barrel with front sight tower attached so I thought it be appropriate to press the barrel at the correct timing so that the barrel not need to be rotated and the front sight tower re-aligned. For maximum investment value in a firearm such as this, it was important that the barrel markings stay in the correct location and that the triple-frame eyebolt retain the factory press for factory correct asthetics. I used an oversized barrel pin and cut the recessed center in the ends for additional authenticity. Model and caliber remark to top it off. Enjoy!

D54KP-N

Here is the D54KP-N (show with post-sample SEF trigger pack in PDW configuration). Built on an LSC 9mm flat that we convert to K-spec with the HKParts.net weldment kit. It features RCM front-end with RCM bolt-group, RCM 100-degree locking piece and our own Dakota Tactical stainless steel K recoil rod. You can see videos of this firearm on our YouTube channel. Thanks for looking!

D34

This is the D34 9mm carbine. Barrel length is just over 16" with pinned flash-hider. It is also available as a pistol, the D34KP with removable flash hider. Its longer barrel length offers higher muzzle velocity and is ideal for those who are looking for a Title-1 9mm carbine without pinning an 8" faux silencer.

The 34-type firearm is a product of U.S. enginuity. I am unsure who built the first 34, but I believe it was Special Weapons. There have been many variations of how this firearm is built. Some extend the cocking tube and/or barrel out a little bit longer to utilize a G3/HK91 length handguard. Some use an HK33/HK93 type cocking tube and sleeve it to accomodate the shorter stroke of the 9mm caliber.

I have chosen to extend the 9mm cocking tube in order to preserve the orginal asthetics of a proper 9mm firearm. I also chose the HK33/HK93 length handguard. You will see below is how I trim the back to give better asthetic balance and proper clearance for the claw-mount tabs. I think a aluminum picatinny railed handguard would look really sharp on this model. I also opted to use a G3 front sight tree as it allows for a slightly shorter flash hider. I felt that this also aids in better asthetic balance.

Thanks for looking!

The Classic D54P

I realized that I did not have a good photo set of the D54P. Fresh from the last batch, here's one shown with post-sample trigger pack in an SEF contour grip frame with A2 stock. You'll notice the Dakota Tactical logo in the photo with the model number shown. I did this on a few D54P's in this batch to see how it would look. Thanks for looking :)

MKE 94K rebarrel and clean-up

Did this one a while back for a member but figured I would add the old photos to the Gallery. I've done many of these. Some conversions while others merely just clean-up. While it is ultimately user preference, the correct rear sight drum for a K-gun configured as a pistol is the low-profile castle type. When in PDW configuration (stock added), the preferred rear sight drum is the traditional MP5 diopter type. This example is from my powder-coating era which has been replaced with DuraCoat.

Fleming RR HK94 to MP5-N SOPMOD Conversion

Recently took in a Fleming pre-86 registered receiver HK94. The orginal SOPMOD kit as I understand came with a Choate-style side-folding stock however the owner of this firearm opted for the MP5-F stock instead. We installed an RCM MP5-N barrel, HK Navy lower with ESSL, HK VFG, paddle mag release, our Premium refinish service and dressed it with a KAC RAS and optic rail system.
