Have you tried a P30SK? It is quite small relative to a P30. I have a P30 but my EDC is a P30SK. Both are V1 and both have factory tritium sights. Under a loose t-shirt with a GunfightersInc Ronin holster nothing shows if using a new 12 round magazine or one of the old 10 shot magazines. On the other side double magazine pouch with 13 round magazines. The extra length of the 13 round magazine would bulge a little due to increased length.
I’ve thought about it but some say its so similar in size that often carry the P30. I dont know what to do lol.

The more I look at it the more it looks like a Shield. The trigger guard is eerily similar. How awesome would it be if it fit Shield holsters? Maybe thats why the rail looks so funky! Lol i highly doubt thats the case though.
I said that from the start.
I think the trigger guard was meant to evoke the MP5. Frankly, I don’t really see the Shield comparison (JMO).

I dont think it's unreasonable to ask "what makes this one better than the others"?
I'm hoping the magazine quality. People used to say that HK builds a mag first, then a gun around it. I hope it is the case here too.
Just for the reference, neither of my p365 were reliable with 10 round mags loaded to 10 when mags were new. That tells me those mags are at the margins of reliability. Even though they run now, I still download by 1. I don't expect that from HK.
This design also retains half of the objective advantages that paddles offer over buttons, assuming the ambi button here work well.

Don’t mean to sidetrack this thread, but with the talk of the CC9’s width, how much does that make a difference for you all? Particularly aiwb

Say something like a G26 at 1.25” vs 1” width of the micros, are they that much more comfortable/easier to carry in a tshirt? Or just slightly? Thanks everyone, will pick up the CC9 regardless
I think you will get different opinions, with factors of body types, clothing choice and, above all, degree of concealment required, behind those difference. I can tell you that for me the answer is absolutely yes. It was the case when my p2000sk was printing above my thresholds and I had to carry an MK9 and later G43. Same deal now when most of my carry is with a p365 and some with a G26.

Very exciting to see a new product release and will probably buy one once they are available.

Optics ready - RMSc / 407k footprint. This is a "k" footprint so it will not work with a RMR2 or RMRcc without an adapter plate?

Trijicon, in their infinite wisdom, made the RMRCC with its own bespoke footprint that no-one else uses. Pretty much every micro-RDS out there uses either the Shield RMSc footprint or the HolosunK footprint which is RMSc but with reduced recoil bosses.

Probably you could mount an RMR footprint optic using a plate if one was particularly inclined, but that gets into "Why, tho?" territory.

Here's a list of optics for the RMSc footprint, although more are coming as it is basically the new standard for slimline pistols. I wouldn't be shocked if even Trijicon were to give in and jump onboard with the next iteration of the RMRcc.

Note: I am not the author of this spreadsheet and make no claims to the accuracy of every optic listed.

... To me, the trigger guard looks a little thin, but based on the long testing window others have mentioned, I'm sure it holds up fine. ...
Yeah, that trigger guard looks like it needs a sandwich or two.

Still, got one on pre-order for my Wife (or myself...).

I was in my LGS today and they said HK’s new baby 9 shipped, arriving tomorrow, so of course I said I’ll take one, hold it for me, without asking any questions, because I assumed it was the long-awaited SFP9CC/VP9CC we expected. Even bought 2 12-rd mags they had just put out.

Now I feel dumb.😂

😭😭😭

I don’t know if I’ll go back and get it tomorrow… I have little interest in a non-paddle HK, and no interest whatsoever in a dual-function ambi release. I might still, but… what a bummer.

It's easier to conceal but not a massive game changer....the 26 was chunky like my vp9sk but i learned to use a good holster with claw and adjustable cant and ride height..so now the additional width of a Vp9sk is a non issue for me...the extra weight if a bigger gun keeps me focused that i have a gun on me..sometimes super luggt micros i forget theyre there..I learned through a lot of experimenting this Is the best way if you can swing it..

Ok it’s mid October. Where is it?
Actually, it's the first third of October. Mid-October is next week. And the announcement was "between mid-October and...". So nothing was "promised" for the 11th of October or on the 15th of October.

What was said was:

Anyway, after clarifying that:

I'd guess the CC9 might be the might be the mid-October one?
Here it is:

That's what "introduce" means.

Besides that:

HK is now letting Premium dealers order the New HK Micro CC9, OR pistols , Check them out they will hitting stores soon

And if you're really, really special:

So there is a slight chance that the CC9 might hit the shelves rather soon after the 15th. Or not.

Based on some of the writing, I’m hopeful that the CC9 will have ergonomics that are friendly to larger hands. For example, the P365 (which I’d never buy anyway) has a great grip shape, but a terrible grip size.
Uncle Jesse - Yes, the CC9 with the Large backstrap has the same length of pull as the Full-Sized VP9. Which in laymans terms means - Micro-compact that feels/performs like a full-sized pistol.

😬. Yeah...not sure I'd say that.

I think I get what you're trying to say...and I will concur that grip is extremely important
Physics are still physics re: slide weight, slide speed, slide travel, barrel lock/unlock geometry....and so on and so forth.
