I don't mind being in the minority but I think this gun looks terrible compared to the SFP9CC. What is up with the muzzle end? That slide/rail fit looks...not good. Is that trigger safety a MIM part? No charging ears, the optic plate...why is it so shallow?

I'm disappointed that that is going to be the inaugural HK USA pistol offering. I dont think it's going to go over well. The VP9 is arguably the most successful HK pistol in terms of sales and general feedback from the shooting "public". I don't really see much if any of the VP9 in this pistol...

Whoever said this looks like a Taurus...you are not wrong.
This thing looks hideous and cheap. Looks like a Taurus knockoff. WTAF HK??? Someome please tell me this is fake.

Many of you sound disloyal and superficial. It is easy to be attracted to a beautiful woman but a true man's character can only be checked when that woman puts on 40 lbs, and all in wrong places. For ladies reading this, flip the genders. Shame on you for comparing this to a Taurus. Taurus doesn't have a trigger undercut. I don't understand the concerns that we won't get the SFP9CC. Yes, if HK sees the CC9 as its alternative, then we won't get the SFP9CC. I would look at this in the opposite way: this means that Europe won't get the CC9. Take that, Europe! If we do get the SFP9CC, that means that HK doesn't think they are direct competitors. M&P Shield would lose its **** over this. I see no negatives and only positives here.

The problem here is it looks worse than we were expecting and it could indicate a trend towards HK putting out cheaper guns for the masses instead of making the high quality guns we are used to. I like HK because their guns just work, loyalty to a company is stupid if a company cannot deliver a good product. HK is expanding the USA division which is great but it’s only great if these new guns are going to keep the quality we expect.

If it’s great quality and works amazing then I will have no concerns but looks can be an indicator of quality in my opinion.

That looks terrible, I’m sorry but man they dropped the ball. Hopefully looks are deceiving but what the hell were they thinking? I will reserve judgement on quality until we see some testing but it better function flawlessly to look that dumb…
How good can it really be to make up for how ugly and cheap it looks? The subcompact segment is already saturated with plenty of good options. Why would anyone trade in their p365, Hellcat, or Bodyguard for an HK having an identity crisis?

If HK USA thinks the US market wants or needs another generic ployslop and this is their big first reveal, then words fail me. I saw these pics earlier today somewhere else and literally laughed at how bad the prank was. I legit didn't even consider this was an actual HK until I saw this thread here.

It would have to be the best gun in the micro compact category to make up for looks, I cannot believe this is real tbh. “Slop” is a great word to describe these asthetics.

Dudes and gals, I love HK like the day is long but.... The Glock 26 was introduced in 1994. 30 years later HK produces something to compete
Well, to be correct the CC9 is the equivalent to the Glock 43, which was introduced in 2015. With HKs development cycle being between 5-8 years, that's almost spot on (OK, a little late maybe, although this is in black from the start while Glock did a duo-tone G43 first only to follow up with a black-only G43 about a year later).

The Glock 26 was followed by the VP9 SK in 2017, so just 23 years later - but HK told us that striker fired pistols are unsafe for about 30 years before the introduction of the VP9. But the P30 SK was only introduced in 2015, too, so there is that...

I have very little interest in these micro guns, but when I saw the SFP9CC It made me consider picking one up as a potential back up gun, the SFP9CC has a distinctive HK design to it (IMHO) that intrigued me. The CC9 will probably work great and check that box for HK, but it feels like they are playing it very safe here and making what they think the US masses want (which may be smart for business) as opposed to creating the best weapon possible with their unique German design philosophy. HK has always done their own thing when it comes to design and thats why many us admire them. I'm not "hating" I love HK, it just doesn't stand out to me as something that moves the needle forward when comparing it with what else is on the market.

Thanks for making my point, albeit, in a more accurate manner!
