I've got a kimber stainless pro carry with night sights and carbon creations carbon fiber grips on a local classifieds for sale/trade. Recently I found a guy with an hk45c that is interested in trade. His is a bb date code with less than 100 down the pipe, 2 mags, and box & docs. I'm thinking about making the trade, but I really wanted an hk45 full size. Although, I would imagine it would be easier to trade an hk45c for an hk45 than the trade I currently have.

Opinions?

I imagine that you have an OUTSTANDING up-trade there...and honestly you might end up wanting to keep the 45c after you shoot it! I wouldn't hesitate to make that swap...and you won't regret it

Fairly even trade. Matter of peferences. If you have had no trouble with the Kimber, I'd be on the fence. Good luck with whatever you decide !

It's not the question that's important, it's the answer to that question that is important!

Follow your little heart my friend. I see, in your sig, you already have one HK45c. I had two HK45c's at one point, then I realized I couldn't keep up with ammo costs. Lol...

What purpose did the Kimber serve for you? What purpose will this second HK45c serve for you? Thats the questions I would be asking myself. Each firearm you own must serve a specific purpose... if not then you're a collector and if you're collecting HK45c's then go for it bud. A quick word though, we all know that two is one and one is none but I seriously think the HK45c can be the exception to the rule (I've only seen two HK45c's down, both due to foolish operator errors) so if you're making the trade just to have a backup while it is diligent I think it may be unnecessary and I would wait for the full size HK45 so you can have what you really want.

All I read was that you had a Kimber. Dear god trade it immediately and don't look back.

No. It's not a tough decision at all. Kimbers are for old fuddy duddys who read lots of gun magazines and shoot twice a year.

I've had no problems with kimber except for the occasional ftf during break in. For me it is a range gun, and a damn good one. I group much better with it than any hk I have. I'm looking to mainly start collecting a bunch of hk's so I think i'm going to do it. And if any if you guys want to trade a lnib hk45c for a hk45 full size let me know!

1911 are addictive!
That being said, you will miss it.
Keep the Kimber (and I dislike Kimber more then I want to express here) safe up your money and buy yourself a new HK45.
A new gun is just like a new car. It has this smell you never get again and there is something to it when you are the first owner.

I've got the money, just am forbidden by my fiance to purchase any more firearms for 6 months. Hmmm.. maybe I just need to hide it well. Or just go ahead and add the cost of some jewelry into the mix.

Oh, in that case, sell the Kimber and see if you can buy some dignity back.

Well guess it doesnt matter, the guy backed out. He decided to keep his 45c, which I dont blame him.
