I'm heading up to the Big Sandy Shoot next weekend and was thinking about running some 9mm tracer through my Ca89k and my CA94 guns in full auto. Both guns love to eat S&B 115gr and are extremely reliable with that ammo.

Last time I was up there I bought some 9mm red tracer from a local vendor and it didn't run well in these guns. Can you recommend a reliable 9mm tracer ammo for these clones? One of the concerns I have is I'm not seeing any 9mm tracer with the same ballistics as the S&B 115, so that might be an issue with cycling in FA.

S&B Info:
Bullet - 115 grain full metal jacket (FMJ)
Casing - Boxer-primed brass, reloadable
Velocity - 1279 fps
Energy - 420 ft-lbs

I clean my guns well every time I go shooting, so the tracer compound residue is not a concern to me. Thanks for your help.

spitfyr,
I don't think you will find any tracers with those matching ballistics. Also you might want to look at AOL & crimping of the tracer rounds as well. That could be adding to your issues.

I haven't seen the Vector tracers for sale since 1996...
