Trigger packs interchangeable?

Can I put a full auto fleming sear trigger pack from an SP89 into an HK94? I'm asking about the mechanics, I'm aware of the ATF process required.

Also this pack is in the SEF configuration, can it be converted to work in a navy lower with safe, semi, burst, and full auto?

I am told that some trigger packs are interchangeable. Some guns only need a different ejector installed to work.

I only own one gun and would like to buy other HK models so I can change them up.

Hopefully someone here can enlighten us.

Your trigger pack will work just fine in either a HK94 or a SP89, so long as the Grip Housing is the same type.

A trigger housing from your SEF will not work in an ambidextreous grip housing. The selector levers are too different.

Yep, the pack will work just fine on a 94. You only need to swap the grip housing.

But no, it won't work in a burst lower. The burst, navy, and other ambidextrous packs use a different selection lever than the SEF packs - the hole through the pack and the grip housing are much larger on the ambi packs.

You can get your sear installed into a burst pack for about $200-$300 by some of the well-known HK gunsmiths.

Of course, the 94 needs to have a F/A bolt carrier.

that shows the 2 packs.

the pack on top with the larger safety selector hole is the pack for the pitogram navy lower, while the pack on the bottom is for the SEF lower.

The packs are not interchangeable within a housing.

You will need a navy type sear ready pack if you plan on changing the sear over to the navy pack.

For the 94 you will need a housing with a single metal tang on the back for the 94 as well as full auto bolt carrier.

In the old days this would have been a good idea, except for the effort to take the sear in and out of the navy sear ready pack (which is a pain for most of us).

Now days the ATF "prefers" that you do not have any extra sear ready packs or they may consider them as machine gun conversions with out paper work (which is not a good thing ;-).

My preference is the SEF pack, however, if you would like the Navy pack, then would stick with that for both 9mm's.

I heard somewhere that some smiths are offering to convert SEF packs to Ambi.
That may be another option to save you some money vs having to purchase another pack and have it converted.
