I can't afford new HKs but their are pretty good deal on used ones now. Some sells use DAO and LEM. I know their different but not sure which is which.
I bought a V3 p2000. I have not got it yet.
Are both the V1 and V2 p2000 LEM? or is one a DAO trigger?
Can the DAO trigger be converted to LEM?
Can a DAO usp be converted to LEM? Found a pretty good deal on a DAO usp.
Do not like DAO but might give LEM a try.

HK stopped making DAO long ago but both V1 and V2 in a P-series gun is LEM; they are called Light and Heavy LEM in other series, due to the confusing variant naming in these series.

DAO and LEM cannot be converted to DA/SA on a P-series gun. They can, however, on other series (USP/HK45).

DAO can also be converted to LEM. You just need the whole LEM kit (and the new-style catch if you have an older USP/UPSc).

Yes, V1 is Light LEM in a P-series gun, but not Light LEM in a USP/HK45-series. I always refer to V1 as V1 LEM to avoid confusion when talking about different LEM variants.

yes, simple spring changes

V2 to V1 requires changing a firing pin block spring, hammer spring and trigger return spring. It's about 20 bucks worth of springs. The hardest of the three is the trigger return spring. You can buy a special tool for that or try to just get it in there with needle nose pliers and screwdrivers/punches. I've done it a couple times. Sometimes you hit it just about right, other times it takes a while.

In general, but not always the case. In some cases, you only need to change 1 spring or 2 at most (e.g.: 1 spring in a P30/P30L/P30SK or 2 spring in a P2000SK).
