Vid. is what one pack did in my DT MP5k rev stretch today. Did it in at least one other gun as well. You could tell after charging whether it was gonna shoot or not. Usually a first shot failure when it occurred...semi or FA , didn't matter. After charging the gun a nice slap on the side of the grip frame then you could hear the trip lever disconnect and only then would she shoot. It was curious and took a while to figure out what was going on. Fortunately we had another reg. sear pack with us to swap out. That second pack worked 100%. The only difference in the packs that I could readily see was the trip lever tips. Both had been ground down in order to fit in my MM23E...but each was slightly different and I believe that difference was the cause.

Sorry...I've already forgotten which of the pictured trip levers worked and which didn't.

Makes perfect sense. The trip lever alteration is one of the key elements to the timing of the action. If the contact tip is too far forward, it will never engage. If it's too far rearward, it will release the hammer prematurely and result in a dead hammer .
