Two of the same carry guns

Does anyone here have two of the same carry guns? Right now I carry a p30sk and I’m thinking about getting a second one. Basically run a thousand rounds through it with my carry ammo, detail clean it, and keep it for carry use only. That way I don’t have to worry about wearing out springs or carbon build up. I usually shoot about thousand rounds a month. Not all on my carry gun since I have other guns I like to shoot. But I do also dryfire a lot.

Yes, I think that is a good idea. I do the same with my p7m8.

when I was doing informal competitions, I had three identically set up guns, for carry I have some that is not the same model but share same mag and ammo, HK USPc and HK P-2000SK both in .40, I do carry some times an HK .45C though.

Typically when I have several of the same guns but different sizes, I try to get the trigger the exact same so there’s very little difference other than size.

I hate cleaning my guns though so want a second to sort of beat up on and not worry about keeping cleaned and maintained.

I have two of the same.. one with an optic, one without. Sometimes I just want to carry a non-optic gun for a little less bulk...

One is none and two is one. I have 2 P2000s.

Thus if 2 is 1 and 1 is 0, by transitive property 2 is also 0 so…
Better get 3

One is (0)
Two is 1+(0)
Three is 1+1+(0)

Three is definitely best.

I have a rotational stall of pistols, but not two of the same….
I do carry 2 at the same time, because of course you have to have a back-up (murphys law) and although my trusty blade is always at my side when SHTF, gun trumps blade.😉

I used to be that way. Having to keep up with "identical" pieces gets tiresome. Redundancy in concept/capability is sufficient.

From back in the day, my work DMR, bolt gun and patrol carbine and its twin:

I just spread the love around. Before that, I got to where I was completely exhausting some guns and never shooting others, eventually things were gonna get lopsided.

Oddly enough I have 2 different guns that I have 2 of, both not HK.
2 - Ruger LCP II 22lr - Very versatile carry anywhere guns
2 - Kimber Mako R7s - His and her carry guns.
I was completely exhausting some guns and never shooting others, eventually things were gonna get lopsided.
I am at that point with a few now DMS …..probably need to sell them and buy more mags…..

2 of the same/identical, nope – no point.
Same platform, yes - DA/SA | SA | no striker.
In HK P2000/USP9c P30/P30SK, all rotate with no range-only so they’re always vetted.
I have two that are identical in configuration and parts except one has an optic and the other just has night sights.

The one without optic barely fits in my motorcycle pants pocket with a trigger guard. Can’t tuck in waistband because jacket and pants zip together.
