I was thinking the same... same design as the Styer's. I personally don't have a need for them (yet) as my G36 mags have US followers and floorplates (plus I like the interlocking). But I'm sure if Ed's selling them, they're good quality.

G36 mags

I think these are made for Mstar, US clone of AUG. Mstar makes mags for their clone and HDPS makes neccessary mods

I found this over on Ed's site (HDPS), when thinking about how to finish my slow SL8 -> G36 conversion. Says mag counts as 3 US parts.

They kind of look like modified Steyr AUG mags. Anybody buy one, if so what did you think?

Parts Count

I believe the parts count is 15 for an SL8 (please correct me if I am wrong). I am leaning toward a SBR conversion in the long run, but until then I have a US gas piston & US bolt (still not assembled with SL8 insides). I was thinking this mag might yeild the magic 10 for parts count until I get a shorter barrel + all of the correct paperwork of course. I dont really like the color though and was thinking a dye job might be in order for the mag.

Yeah, they look like the Microtech mags for their STG-556. The giveaway is the blank spot on the upper side ribs toward the rear of the mag. The STG has a rib in the magwell that requires the cutout in the mag ribs.

I'm kind of curious how these will work after modification. I put the unmodified 10rd mag that came with my MSAR STG-556 in my G36 clone with the G36 magwell and the STG mag is narrower than the well. The mag catch locks it, but it wobbles side to side, plus it doesn't operate the bolt holdback.
