I'm sure this has been covered somewhere but my search'fu is letting me down...

If I'm not buying from a vendor is there a way to decipher or stampings on 922r parts (forearms, trigger packs, stocks, ext)?

Thanks,
Mike

Ive noticed most US made stuff will have made in USA or U.S somewhere on them. This seems especially true on HK parts made in the states as people are usually buying them from 922 compliance.

Depends on the part. Can you be more specific?

Make yourself a little "USA" brand. Heat it up with a Bic lighter. Stamp it in the plastic furniture. Problem solved.

Some of the US made parts are not marked but instead are of slightly different design and thereby identifiable as US made. For example many of the US made cocking handles. I have some US made parts that have US, some with USA and some with the maker PTR, JLD, CAI
