Was thinking about the process of building a MP5 from a used kit. When the barrel is rotated 180 or 120 degrees to drill for a new pin, does the extractor cut need to be recut with the new orientation? If so how should this be done? Any drawings for the specs?

First, welcome to the forum. The MP5-40/10 barrel has a relief for the extractor. The 9mm guns do not. Most kits has been used but have minimal wear. So most simply install the trunnion with the barrel that was headspaced from the factory. It would be easy enough to check the headspace of the kit. Good luck with your build.

Leave the barrel in the trunnion when removing the sheetmetal receiver and you won't need to repin it.
