I'm new, obviously, trying to figure out if there is any kind of a mag extension made to allow one to use higher capacity USP 9mm mags in a USP 9 compact. Thx.

The USPc in 9mm can utilize the 15 round VP9/P30 mags without any kind of adapter. Either these 15rd mags or the 13rd USPc/P2000 mags can utilize any number of mag extensions such as these from HKparts

Full sized USP 9mm mags are a larger girth dimension and will not fit in the USPc grip.

They'll stick out the bottom of your grip a bit, but if that doesn't bother you then you don't need anything extra.

Yes, xgrips are not required. Just don't ram your mags in too hard or you can damage the ejector.
