I am planning on getting a USP45 with a threaded barrel. I have been scouting out prices I an effort to see if it is cheaper to buy the base model and add the extra parts, or just buy the 45T (I don't need those match sights). To that end, when people say the Tactical has a "match trigger", are they referring to this:

Or just this:

Thanks

It's cheaper to buy the real tactical. On top of that, no matter how much bells and whistles you are going to add to your "clone", it will always be a "clone".

The Match Trigger as linked by the first link is the complete kit. The factory Tactical does come with most parts of the kit, but not everything you see there.

Move value having that roll mark of TACTICAL on the slide along with the proper RSA for can use, match trigger and threaded, o-ring barrel.
Shop around and you might find some good deals on a tactical. Our classifieds and supporting vendors are good places to start with.
I have a sweet one with a special date available for a P7 series trade.
Also note that I have found factory tacticals without the nickle plated sear spring. Not hard to swap out, but surprising to me.

As others have stated, get the tactical. It's ready right out of the box, cheaper and retains more value than the standard USP. It's an incredible pistol and it's my favorite out of all the handguns I own.

Thank you sir! These two are by far my favorites. I had them both out last Sunday and put two mags through the USPT. The USPT is put away for good now and I doubt very seriously if I'll ever fire it again. I'm just afraid of getting any scratches or nicks on it being it's #1 of the 500 run. I'm gonna have to pick up a Black USPT for a shooter soon.

Regarding the match trigger kit (the first one referenced), I just had this kit installed in my USP 45. I got it new in August, put about 1200 rounds through it, then did the match trigger. I've put about 250 rounds through it with the match trigger. It is nothing short of of fantastic! I'm sure you can search and find all the details of everyone's opinions on it. In my case, I have current experience with and without. I really like it; smooth, light, short travel in SA and lighter shorter travel in DA.

Go with the out of the box USP Tactical! Hands down, my p7m8 was my favorite HK. I had several other HK's, including a Mark 23, a USP9Expert, a USP9Tactical, a USP45Expert, a USP45Tactical, along with a couple of others. I could never decide if my Second Best Favorite was the USP45Tactical, or the Mark 23. I'll never decide now; had to give up shooting .45 ACP because of the wear and tear of these old hands.
