I am still recovering from an accident that happened in July of 2011 and had my first opportunity todsay to exercise my USPC .40 CCW piece. My first shot was well low and then my 67 year old brain remembered that the HK sight pattern is a bit different. I proceeded to put the next 12 rounds into a 6" group at 7 yards. Not bad for an old fart using a walker, at least I can still shoot little bit anyway!

The thing I find odd about the forum is, I had to go back several pages to find a thread that talks about the USPC .40. Hey, what is there to say about the finest hand gun from the 20th century? LOL

They are great guns, but I think most people aren't crazy about. 40's. Here in GA anything in a 40 seems to be hard to get rid of. I think they are a good round.

This man speaks true. .40 is a desired police round, but not too many civilians I know, down here at least, like the .40. It's either 9mm or .45.

I like my USPc .40 just fine. And if you like yours, you should buy a fullsize to go with it. :wink:

I like my USPC 40 but dont carry it very often. I prefer my 45 or 9.
But I do like the high capacity of the 40.

There is no overall benefit in terminal ballistics between the 9mm, .40, and .45 with modern self defense ammunition these days.

I had a USPc 40, but sold it a few months later because the price of the ammo, terminal ballistics, and recoil wasnt worth it to me over the 9mm. I shoot over 10k a year and i'm glad that i consolidated to 9mm.

I prefer the .45 myself, but I'd like to have a USPc in .40 or .357 simply for the ability to swap barrels and be able to shoot both calibers with one pistol.

I absolutely love my USPc .40! It is a great gun, very accurate and conceals well. Plus it shoots anything I put into it.

Nice shooting, I hope I can shoot that well when I’m 67. I’ve been carrying the HK45 and P30 40 over the last 2 years. About a week ago I dug my USPc 40 out and put some rounds through it. I had forgotten what a sweet little pistol it is; also it sure does conceal nicely.

As far the caliber goes, the 40 creates a larger permanent cavity compared to the 9mm, as does the 45 when compared to the 40. This is only a benefit if one is trying to end violent hostilities.
