Have a V1 USPc and since I detest the whole DA trigger and am comfortable with condition 1 carry I'm wondering how hard (and what parts) converting the gun to SA only would be.

Thanks, Pete

You can have Bruce Gray (of Grayguns, Inc.) convert it. If you remove the firing pin block and convert it to SAO, it can have a pretty damn good trigger, with short SAO reset. It'll cost ya though. . . he ain't cheap.

Personally though, I'd suggest an SAO Les Baer Premier II instead. It would be money better spent (IMHO). A converted USP will be hard to sell if you ever decide to, while a Premier II will always be worth at least what you paid. Plus, even with Bruce's magic done to it, a USP will never have the trigger of the P-II.

Isn't there a V9 that is a safety-only function, thought I read about it somewhere...

Just don't use the decocker? Plenty of people carry cocked and locked V1 HKs...

Aka, chamber a round, put the safety on... And that's pretty much it...
