Thats the price the .45 NIB/LNIB stainless is going for now - the smaller calibers are lower.

Well, since this isn't your WTS ad, let me add this...damn, I bought a 50 year annie for that price. Which reminds me, I need to bring out and shoot so photo's of it. :>)
I completely agree with your opinion. It's pricey, but they are not imported anymore and its tough to find one LNIB/NIB with a late date code. You'll see them more often on Gunbroker but most will have to take a hit and pay for what they want. Then again, Gunbroker does have its deals here and there... :D

If your currently looking for a stainless USPc .45 be prepared to spend around $750-$850 (which has been the going rate on the forum classifieds). They do not make them anymore and are in high demand. A nearby shop recently had a NIB model that went for $900. Buy a used compact .45 and send it to Tripps to hardchrome the slide and save a couple $100 :D.
