I've seen several comments relating to some V93's being "out of spec"and
as such, scope mounts don't fit. Can some one give me the straight dope?
I've got my eye on one and as that eye isn't very good anymore, I'd be
inclined to at least put a red dot on it. For what it's worth, my C93 took one fine.

The scope mount lugs on the HK manufactured receivers are machined after forming and the ones on the C93's don't really look like they have been machined at all, hence they not being in spec. They really don't look machined at all, just formed. This will probably vary depending on who made the receiver.

I was able to modify a cheap UTG scope mount to fit my V93,The bes toption I can possibly see is to spend the extra cash and buy a B-Square mount, those claim shell onto the receiver.
