Seems like a very solid build, but with 62 gr PP, the groups are horrible and keyhole at close range. Switch ammo or is the problem more serious?

Did you try any 55 grain ammo? The barrel is likely 1 in 12 and may not be able to handle the 62 grain effectively.

You are limted to 55 gr or less due to the 1:12 twist of the surplus barrels they are using. Iteresting that yours keyholed. In mine (shooting 62 gr M885) the bullets stayed pointing forward but accuracy was piss poor. 13 of 20 rounds on a 2 ft by 2 ft target at 100 yards. (>24 MOA!)

yes to above. use only 55 & lower. They can't stabilize the heavier projectile.

That sounds like the groups i was getting. When i took some shots from about 20 yds, you could see perfect liitle sideways 5.56 holes. Its amazing what a dif 7 grains can make!

Also take the flash hider off and make sure there is no damage to the muzzle.
