Regarding the VP series of HK pistols (specifically the VP9SK and VP40) are there specific revisions that are recognized as better to have than another? If so, what revision number for these two pistols are generally agreed as being sought after?
The only running change that I'm aware of pertaining to the VP40 that I'm aware of is that the polymer bearing on the TRS was revised compositionally; regarding the OEM earlier original bearing, it only becomes a potential issue with a detailed disassembly, particularly if inexpertly performed.
VP9 originally was announced June 3, 2014, and came with a lighter "red" recoil spring. VP40 was released June 12, 2015. When the VP9 Tactical was released on August 8, 2016, it came with the same silver (heavier) recoil spring of the VP40. Sometime in late 2015 to 2016 all VP9 started coming out with the heavy recoil spring.
