VP40 with Match springs question

599 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  ROBMED
Scored a new in box VP40LE, a customer must have fell through as it has the two spring hkparts match trigger installed but comes with the factory springs (in a bag). Picked it up for $500. Are there any issues with the match grade trigger parts pro or con, I really don't want to waste time putting the stock trigger parts in to see for myself (but am not above that depending on feedback). I do plan to put a 357 sig barrel in it and shoot mainly or only 357 sig but will blow a few 100 rounds of 40 out of it first.

Any thoughts from the great people on this board concerning the trigger upgrade?

The match sear spring is good to go , the match TRS not so much for me . I like a firmer reset . YMMV

Get a 357 SIG barrel , that's the ticket !

Same here, and after 1500 rounds it's super fantastic :) Still heavy enough for CCW too!
Thanks all, looks like I will swap the TRS out after I try the non factory one to see what I prefer, for a Guy that did this to two USP's in the past six months and refused to buy the cheep pliers for the job I'm thinking my mindset of "this is the last time I do this, don't need the pliers" was a mistake.

Hats off to you all.

You've GOTTA have the pliers. I too tried to do without, never been so mad before!!
