They are known as "charging supports" and HKParts sells them. They are $4.95 each. You can't buy them in pairs.

For some strange reason, those are more expensive at $17.95 per pair, no idea why.
Ah, thanks....interesting. Makes sense they are more expensive than simply replacing them, and HKParts always is the most expensive place for parts, etc.
Yeah, I like the charging supports also.
I wanted the option of running without them.
Practicing reloads and slide work, I'm thinking I'll just keep it the way it is.

My original inserts got loose and HK installed these free of charge (along with a set of new sights). I wish HK would manufacture the inserts larger than the slots so they didn't move around -- even my new flush inserts have a little bit of play (much less noticeable than the original inserts).

one of the things I like about the VP-9 are the Charging Supports, the wife of a friend was having issues racking the slide on his Glock 19. I let her try my VP-9 and Bingo !!! she own a VP now.

So would anyone recommend locktite(sp?) to keep them in place?

I would not use loctite. Mine have a little up and down vertical play because there is a small gap between the bottom of the meprolight rear sight and the top of the slide where the charge supports fit in. However, it doesn't seem like I could remove them without removing the rear sight.

Ok the movement doesn't bother me just don't want them coming out.

Mine are tight. These are good for one handed charging against a belt, counter top, or anything for support. Nice to have if one arm is down.
